Hans Großmann

Founder
Engineer. Entrepreneur. Founder.
Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Hans Großmann worked 18 years as an engineer in development before founding Grossmann GmbH in 1996 in 89520 Heidenheim, Germany. His extensive engineering experience in development, construction, and management forms the foundation of the company.
Under his leadership, the company grew to 60 employees — 30 in Germany and 30 in a subsidiary in Slovakia. The product range included machines and systems for serial sheet metal processing (particularly automotive), paper and film processing, and security documents — including watermarks and holograms for banknotes. Clients included the National Bank of China.
In 2021, Hans Großmann handed over company leadership. His vision of a modular building block system for winding technology lives on in the company and forms the basis of today's product configurator.

Strategic Leadership for the Future
Following the founder's transition, Holger Sitter took over as Managing Director of the Grossmann Group. He is responsible for strategic direction and operations across all global locations.
Under the new leadership, the Grossmann Group continues to evolve as an internationally active corporate group — with the goal of offering technically innovative components, assemblies, and machines for winding technology, cutting systems, and sheet metal processing worldwide.
In 2024, all global entities were consolidated under Grossmann Holding Ltd. in Malta. The development of the e-commerce platform grossmann.cc marks the next step in the company's evolution — direct online access to configurable industrial products.

Company Founded in Heidenheim
Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Hans Großmann establishes Grossmann GmbH in 89520 Heidenheim, Germany. After 18 years as a development engineer, he brings extensive experience in construction and management.
International Expansion
Establishment of international subsidiaries to serve growing global demand. Growth to 60 employees across Germany and Slovakia.
Modular System Development
Launch of the innovative Wickeltechnik-Baukastensystem (Winding Technology Modular System) enabling configurable product solutions.
Strategic China Partnership
Partnership with Chinese manufacturers for standard winding shafts, expanding production capacity while maintaining German engineering standards.
Cutting Systems Innovation
Introduction of advanced cutting systems including shear-cut cassettes capable of speeds up to 2,000 m/min.
Flexwinder Launch
Launch of the Flexwinder — a revolutionary modular web processing machine with interchangeable processing stations.
Grossmann Holding Ltd.
Consolidation under Grossmann Holding Ltd. in Malta, unifying all global entities under one strategic umbrella.
Digital Transformation
Launch of the online product configurator and e-commerce platform at grossmann.cc. Digital sales of over 60 products from 5 business divisions.
